Dr. Latimer

Veterinarian

Dr. Latimer’s special interests are in veterinary ultrasound, diagnostic imaging, laparoscopic surgery, internal medicine, soft tissue surgery and dentistry.

Dr. Latimer graduated from the University of Guelph in 1992, as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. He was trained in the science of Laparoscopic Surgery at the University of Colorado.

Dr. Latimer continues to obtain over 50 hours of continuing education each year. He is a member of the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association, the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association and the College of Veterinarians of Ontario.

Dr. Latimer and his wife, Valerie, Director of Public Relations for the hospitals and their two sons, Noah and Nicholas, enjoy travelling, and living life with Princess, the clinic’s now retired kitty pictured here with Dr. Latimer.

When not working, one of Dr. Latimer’s favourite pastime is coaching his son’s hockey team, the “Princess Animal Hospital Predators” and watching his sons (his greatest pride), play. He also enjoys travelling with his family, kayaking, and playing the piano.
